Clause 482.211 — Temporary Skill Shortage — primary criteria (time of decision)

The applicant must, at the time of decision:

(a) be nominated for an occupation that is specified in the relevant occupation list (MLTSSL for medium-term stream; STSOL or MLTSSL for short-term stream; or labour agreement list for labour agreement stream);

(b) be sponsored by an approved standard business sponsor;

(c) have at least 2 years of work experience in the nominated occupation or a related occupation;

(d) have competent English (or better) unless exempt under a legislative instrument;

(e) satisfy the health criteria (PIC 4005 or 4007) and character criteria (PIC 4001);

(f) be paid the market salary rate for the nominated occupation;

(g) satisfy any other criterion specified in the relevant legislative instrument.
