2.20 Bridging visas — general
(1) For the purposes of section 73 of the Act, a bridging visa is taken to be granted to a non-citizen if:
(a) the non-citizen made a valid application for a substantive visa while holding a substantive visa; and
(b) the substantive visa ceases to be in effect; and
(c) the application for the substantive visa has not been finally determined.
(2) The bridging visa granted under this regulation is a Bridging Visa A (subclass 010) unless a different class is specified in these Regulations.
