2.43 Cancellation — prescribed grounds

For the purposes of paragraph 116(1)(g) of the Act, the following are prescribed grounds for cancellation of a visa:

(a) the holder has not complied with a condition of the visa;

(b) the holder provided incorrect information or a bogus document in connection with the application for the visa, or in relation to the circumstances giving rise to the grant;

(c) the holder is a student and the holder:

(i) has ceased to be enrolled in a registered course; or

(ii) is not making satisfactory academic progress; or

(iii) has been excluded from a registered course;

(d) the holder was sponsored by an approved employer and the employment has ended;

(e) the holder is outside Australia and has been outside Australia for a continuous period exceeding the period of travel specified in the visa.
