2.59 Public interest criteria

(1) The Public Interest Criteria set out in Schedule 4 to these Regulations apply to visa applications as specified in Schedule 2 for each visa subclass.

(2) A visa cannot be granted unless all applicable Public Interest Criteria are satisfied.

(3) A Public Interest Criterion may be expressed to apply at the time of application, at the time of decision, or at both times.
