3.01 Visa application charges — general

(1) Subject to this Part, a visa application charge is payable in respect of a visa application at the rate, and in the manner, set out in Schedule 1.

(2) A visa application charge is payable at the time of lodgement of the application unless Schedule 1 provides otherwise.

(3) If Schedule 1 provides for a second instalment, the second instalment is payable when requested by the Minister, and the visa cannot be granted until the second instalment is paid.
